If we see the prize money for the World Cup 2003, it was just a total of around $4.5 million, in 2007 the prize money was less than 2003, but in 2011 ICC doubled the amount of prize money.

Then in the 2015 Cricket World Cup, the prize money increased 20% and a total of $10 million cash price was announced by ICC. The same amount has been announced as cash price for the grand event of Cricket World Cup 2019 as well with enhancement in a winner and runner ups prize money.

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) unveiled their Jersey for Cricket World Cup 2019 on Friday, 3 May. This time it is quite changed and has a better look than the previous version of Cricket World Cup 2015.

This time it is made of recycled ocean plastic material, the waste plastic has been recovered from the beaches of Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has taken a great step to raise awareness about proper consumption of plastic in order to save marine species and their habitats. The same initiative has also been taken by India, where NIKE has used recycled polyester material for Indian’s team Jersey.
